14 opposition party MPs were suspended from Parliament for disrupting proceedings after the Lok Sabha security breach incident. The government asked the Opposition not to politicise the issue and the opposition demanded a statement from home minister Amit Shah, and if he fails to make a statement, his resignation. Trinamool Congress floor leader Derek O'Brien was suspended from Rajya Sabha. Parliamentary affairs minister Pralhad Joshi moved two resolutions for suspending MPs in Lok Sabha, and several opposition MPs claimed that one of the suspended MPs was not present.
