Amid tension in Bengaluru, SC says no Ganesh puja at idgah

Amid growing communal tension due to the Karnataka government's decision to allow Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at the disputed Idgah Maidan in Bengaluru's Chamarajpet, the Supreme Court late on Tuesday directed the parties to maintain the status quo, which means that the ground will not be used for the festival that begins on Wednesday.
