Karnataka to move HC for recovery of damage cost from rioters

The Karnataka government will move the high court for permission to appoint a claims commissioner to assess and recover the cost of public and private property damaged during the August 11 rioting in east Bengaluru. The decision was taken on Monday at a meeting convened by chief minister BS Yediyurappa with home minister Basavaraj Bommai, advocate general Prabhuling Navadagi and senior police officers.
