Lok Sabha Secretariat issues notices to 20 rebel TMC MPs

Dated Aug 25, the notices to the 20 rebel MPs forward a copy of Banerjee’s petition dated June 18 filed against the MPs under Rule 6 of the Members of Lok Sabha (Disqualification on Ground of Defection) Rules, 1985. In the recently concluded Monsoon session, Banerjee had met the Speaker on Aug 12 to reiterate his demand for a speedy decision on the disqualification petitions submitted to him in June.
